Annual Conference
From 2014 to 2016, the Avance Center for the Advancement of Immigrant/Refugee Health held an Annual Latino Health Disparities Conference. This meeting brought together individuals committed to addressing health disparities that impact Latino immigrant communities. The conference offered an opportunity for researchers, practitioners and advocates to share emerging research, best practices and community perspectives that shape the agenda for Latino health and eliminating disparities. Not only was this event an important networking platform in our nation’s capital, but it also offered training and capacity-building for the conduct of innovative research and implementation of interventions that are responsive to the changing needs of this population.
